I missed the memo: It's summer here! The birds are out chirruping, the sun is shining and it's just altogether lovely!
Had a lovely past few days, took the morning off class as the walk felt rather long for a sleepy me, however I am most certainly going out a walk shortly: pictures to follow! Think I'm going to take my phone down to the Thames and read some Sherlock facing the houses of parliament. May even stretch to visiting an evensong, and then my long awaited tesco shop. Today feels like a good day!

Explanation!
After spending 19 years in Glasgow, I flew the nest to go down to college in London.
It's been quite a lot of work securing a place in a good school (pardon the Americanism), sorting out finance and managing to get my brain in gear (that's still a work in progress).
I'm a music student with the most superb walk to class anywhere in the world potentially. Just over 20 mins leads me by Houses of Parliament, Westminster Bridge, Whitehall, Trafalgar Square, Strand, Temple etc, etc, etc...
Yet it feels somewhat wasted on me... I'm only walking. And I'm reasonable contented. I'm not looking for anything in particular, my life is somewhat on track... there's things I'd like, but nothing I have a burning need for.
Somehow, in the contentment, life gets rather lonely and melancholy. Sadness has become a product of the stagnant happiness. So.... I've decided I'm going to look for something... And by that, I mean I'm going to look for something to look for! Maybe it'll just be a new coat, or a dance class, but I'm going to search until I have something to pursue! Perhaps searching for the promise of fulfilment shall be enough.
I am going to pay attention to the world around me and document my progress, even if it's just accepting that London is a rather superb place, if you know how to embrace it: I'm hoping this blog will help! Give my fantastic morning more of a purpose.

So, after deciding to create a blog, and having numerous half idea of what to write in it, I've decided to track my time in London.
I have one of the most amazing walks to college everyday, and am going to blog how it feels to live in London's mighty centre.
